On April 1915, Canadian soldier, Colonel John McCrae penned the famous poem "In Flanders Field." The poem brought a message of confidence during World War I and established Flanders Poppy as a system of faith and hope. Since 1922, Buddy Poppies have been distributed and proudly worn. The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States Buddy Poppy is made by patients in Veterans hospital. VFW dedicates the profits to aid and assistance of disabled and needy service men and women, veterans, widows and orphans of deceased veterans. VFW Post 6310 continues to support the Buddy Poppy program.
Coming home doesn't mean the battle is over. With over 10 times the amount of veterans lost to suicide than to combat operations in the same time period, there has never been a more important time to TAKE A STAND and DO something to support our veterans!! If you or someone you know is suffering from PTSD, we have people that have shared a similar experience and are ready to help.

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. - John 15:13

In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.
